A lot of fun but's a shame it must be deleted.

unless the renewal is one of those usurpers. I can't check the number but it is Re0000087096 per Video Cellar.

The copyright notice is very clearly there at the end at 1:22. It says copyright 1953 (in Roman Numerals) by Ivan Tors Productions, Inc.

I'd take a screen shot, but it's there at Netflix instant viewing for all to see.

There was a renewal.

Type of Work: Motion Picture
Registration Number / Date: RE0000087096 / 1981-03-30
Renewal registration for: LP0000003825 / 1954-06-05 (in notice: 1953)
Title: Gog.
Copyright Claimant: Ivan Tors Productions, Inc. (PWH)

Names: Ivan Tors Productions, Inc.

But there's no notice in the copy I uploaded, making it PD.

I found some info at USCO. If a film published before 1978 was released without a notice or an incorrect notice then copyright is lost. Adding a notice at a later date does not secure the copyright.

Read my post on with the USCO link here:

Equally beating a dead horse funny. My last word on this debacle.
